Sales Engineering Director

Job Description
As our Sales Engineering Director, you will lead and serve a team of senior sales engineers. Responsible for an annual goal, your team will partner with sales executives to win deals. Your primary responsibilities include:Establish a standard of excellence for the sales engineering function. Develop, coach, and direct the sales engineers on your team to be successful, one deal at a time. Provide additional sales engineering firepower on key accounts.Assign opportunities to sales engineers in accordance with a strategic methodology smart teaming, industry expertise, geography, etc..Recruit new talent into the organization such that each new employee improves the overall team. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the onboarding process. Be a technical authority and thought leader. Manage alignment between the sales and delivery teams. Provide clarity and visibility status & incremental progress for senior management. About Intel SaffronInspired by the remarkable way our brain stores and reasons from information, Intel Saffron leverages a model-free and rule-free approach to find hidden patterns in data and enable smarter decisions. Saffron can be used with large, complex data sets where the data is highly varied and often sparse - providing a complementary alternative to data modeling. The core technology has been developed and used for almost two decades and is now part of an exciting portfolio of AI offerings within Intel.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field Master's preferred.7+ years of experience in sales engineering for enterprise software businesses.Successful track record of building geographically distributed, high integrity sales engineering teams. Experience selling value propositions associated with machine learning & data science.Strong presence and presentation skills, suitable for executive level conversations. Competitive! You know how to win hearts and minds, and how to establish a culture of winning in the market. Additional Desired Traits/SkillsExperience with specific domains - financial services, Department of Defense, aerospace, oil & gas, complex manufacturing, supply chain, etc. Experience with industry-specific data sets. You have the confidence to express your opinions and advocate for ideas that are unconventional or even unpopular, but possess the maturity and professionalism to value relationships more than you value "being right". You're proactive, creative, and collaborative - finding ways to add value and thrive in a rapidly developing business environment. Travel RequirementsMust be able and willing to manage up to 50% travel.
