Intel invites you to collaborate with global teams to develop and specify the concepts of cellular wireless modem signal processing algorithms and architectures for newest technologies LTE and 5G.

As part of the Platform Engineering Group (PEG), the Product Development Solutions Group (PDS) provides the central methodology and flow solutions that enable the development of leading edge SoCs across Intel’s product portfolio. The Communications methodology team within PDS provides tailored solutions for the design of 5G Modem Basebands, Radio-Transceivers, Power-Management IC’s and Connectivity-SoCs that power Intel’s aspiration in the smart, connected world.

You as an Analog/RF Simulation Methodology Engineer will work in team on Analog/Radio Frequency simulation methodologies to address & solve circuit simulation challenges

Your responsibilities will cover a variety of areas:

  • Provide, maintain & support analog/RF and mixed-signal simulation tools as well as the simulation environments around them
  • Develop and tailor analog/RF and mixed signal simulation methodologies based on tools from EDA and Intel internal groups to tackle the simulation complexity challenges in latest process technologies and design architectures
  • Benchmark internal / external EDA tools in the area analog/RF and mixed-signal simulators
  • Work with other design flow and PDK teams to deliver a best in class design system for our wireless communication and 5G products


Experience in the area of analog/RF circuit simulation, statistical simulations, electro-magnetic simulations
Prior practical experience with Full-Custom Design flows incl. tools from vendors like Cadence (Virtuoso, Spectre), Keysight, Synopsys, Ansys
Exposure to deep submicron silicon process technologies

Required Skills:
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Strong interpersonal and good verbal/written communication skills
Self-motivated, results oriented, strive to achieve excellence
Open minded, willing to learn & grow
Proficient with Unix and Windows
Scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Skill, Python, …)
Additionally, the following qualifications are strongly desired:
Experience in hands-on circuit design
Experience in mixed signal simulation, functional verification
Knowledge of analog & digital behavior modeling languages (e.g. Verilog-A; Verilog, System-Verilog, VHDL)
English fluent; German language knowledge is a plus

Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Phd/MS or BS
