Chromebook Hardware Engineer

Job Description

You will work with internal development teams to design next generation Chromebook systems with primary focus on electrical design of the motherboard & system.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary research in the design, development.
  • Testing and utilization of hardware components Work with key members from other disciplines architecture, ID, mechanical, thermal, regulatory to coordinate design efforts and resolve design issues.
  • Collaborate with CAD for placement & feasibility studies, dense board layout challenges Interface with materials PM and commodity to select specific design components to meet mechanical/thermal & system requirements.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Requirements: Must be pursuing a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship. Minimum of 3 months experience with: PCB Board Design PCB Layout BOM Creation Preferred Qualifications Intel Architecture knowledge Board Level Validation and debug
