Job Description Network Security Specialist responsible for engineering and operational support of Intel's network security environment. In this position you will be responsible for engineering and supporting Intel's Enterprise Firewalls, Utility DMZs, Lab firewalls, IDS/IPS, Stealthwatch, Damballa, proxies etc. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network issues.Installation and configuration of network appliances such as Firewall, proxies etc.Standard network expansion activities and network Hardware and Software upgrades.Working as part of a global team supporting Intel's network infrastructure worldwide.Working with project teams to implement Firewall rules.
You should possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree with 3-5 years of networking security experience at the enterprise level. Additional skills or certifications which would be a plus are CCNA, CEH, ITIL, CISSP, SCCP etc..Additional qualifications include:Team player with strong communications skillsSelf-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to be effective in a highly dynamic worldwide teamProven interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, conflict management and resolution skills, and project management skillsStrong knowledge in Firewall Stonesoft, Checkpoint configuration and troubleshootingFamiliarity with configuration and installation of Linux* or UNIX* systems and application services running on these platformIn-depth knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, IDS/IPS, Stealthwatch, Damballa etc. and understanding of network security technologiesDemonstrated working knowledge of network security principles.
