Job Description Job Description: The Data Center Group is looking for a validation lead engineer who defines Validation Strategy and execution plans, working with stakeholders - he/she needs to understand overall architecture and system design. The validation lead interfaces with multiple horizontal teams to lead them in execution, drive technical decision making, ensure project level customer interests are met, and communicate status and issues as appropriate both internally and externally across all teams working on a product. Develops and documents validation requirements and tests for verification of system designs. Investigates and resolves complex issues with hardware/BIOS/Firmware/Operating System implementations and recommends solutions. Uses analysis to resolve electronic issues. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working closely with architect/design team to review design, architecture change and define validation strategy. Actively engaging with our partners Hardware, Firmware teams and others to ensure high quality incoming collaterals. Ensuring timely execution of all validation contents and proper disposition of failures/sightings. Coordinating with other technical leaders across organizations to define common validation processes and methodologies. Develop Validation Reports summarizing all validation activities performed on a given project. Develop/Improve validation automation tools or scripts to increase the efficiency of the validation team. Develop test strategies to ensure products meet and/or exceed the expectations of customers. Develop comprehensive validation methods designed to expose product deficiencies based on requirements of datacenter customers.
Qualification:Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 12+ years' experience, or a Master's Degree with 10+ years overall experience. 4+ years of experience as validation leadSystems engineering knowledge and Strong Computer Architecture knowledge. Team player that can work in a high-paced, dynamic environmentSolid understanding of commercial OS would be an added advantageA strong analytical mind with first-rate problem solving skills Healthy paranoia for bugs and a strong sense of qualityAbility to work well in a cross-site cross-team environment
