Job Description

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

SPTD is looking for an Engineering Intern to join the team in support of next generation substrate package technology development.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong engineering troubleshooting.
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork/partnership skills.
  • This hands-on position will require a significant amount of time spent on the factory floor to develop new process technology and characterization of new materials.
  • Since this will involve startup of new manufacturing capability for Intel, a high tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job roles is desired.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Be currently pursuing a BS in Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related science or engineering field.
