Engineering Program Manager - Consumer Wearable Products
Manages product hardware and software integration of medium impact and complexity through all phases of the lifecycle.
Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. Has non-technical decision-making authority at the program level as required.
Handles a matrix-managed, cross organizational programs of broad scope and high complexity from product concepts to production
Leads a matrix-managed core team and guides performance of extended functional teams. Assigns overall tasks to others managing general areas of responsibility in support of program goals.
Ensures that RFQs and SOWs are completed, as well as any other legal due diligence related to corporate. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally.
Exercises judgment and discretion to develops solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs assigns resources, and communicates expectations to core team members.
Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and critical path items identifies and drives solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals
Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met.
Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.
Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to program goals.
Responsible for phase gate reviews and presentations.Has advanced understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
At least five years experience delivering technically complex, consumer products.
A background in eye-wear products, or prescription lenses is a huge bonus.
Proven track record of shipping consumer products experience with domestic and international suppliers required.
Proven ability to deliver product with heavily matrix managing product teams
Ability to create and manage integrated project schedules
Understanding and experience with reliability testing,
Familiar with Regulatory and Compliance requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
U.S. and international travel required
