Job Description

The WIFI Core division is looking for a System Architect.

The Wi-Fi Core System Architecture team leads the development of high performance W-Fi (802.11) communications systems, their integration into Intel platforms, and their coexistence with other wireless sub-systems. The team is responsible for the definition of full Wi-Fi end-to-end solution while working closely with platform architects and system engineers, silicon, HW and SW design teams, customers and marketing. The team defines and escorts system requirements both for silicon, SW and HW, focusing on MAC (Media Access Control) layer, platform interface and coexistence

We are consistently driving new levels of performance accompanied by market differentiating features such as Wi-Fi Direct and Wireless Display that are now an integral part of Wi-Fi ecosystem, and is complemented today by other Intel unique features such as WiGig wireless docking.

In this role, you will Design and support the development of highly integrated mobile platforms

Work with multiple teams: platform and communication architects, silicon/SW/HW design, validation, marketing, project engineering and management, to develop, to review and to clarify with stake holders the product requirements. You will define and deliver System Requirements to design teams. Provide system support during the development and integration stages, as well as during sustaining in post-release period..

Qualifications

  • Over 6 years of experience in engineering, over 2 years as system engineer/architect. Multiple disciplines- advantage. Wireless communication systems-advantage.
  • Experience with system aspects and design considerations of low power mobile platforms.
  • Experience with system integration. Specific experience with integration of Communication Systems - advantage.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi systems - advantage.
  • Independent and self-motivated, capable of executing under uncertainty, in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and team-work skills
  • Leadership and ability to drive forward activities in matrix reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
