The products we design and deliver are central to the next generation of wireless communications 5G, and RF System Engineering plays a central role in making this revolution happen. As part of the mmW RF System Engineering team you will be responsible for creating the architecture and specifications of Intel's mmW wireless products. You will work in close collaboration with RFIC Design Engineers and Antenna Designers, PHY and Algorithm Engineers, System Engineers from other fields, Hardware teams, manufacturing experts, project leaders and many more.
Your job will include:
-Participating in Concept and Architecture discussions from the earliest stages of product definition.
-Working with multiple other teams to negotiate and trade-off requirements for the Analog and RF portions of the product.
-Working with RFIC Design Engineers and other teams on agreed specifications and requirements.
-Supporting other groups both System Engineers and other domains in representing Analog and RF limitations, trade-offs and requirements.
-Helping design test-plans and craft DFT Design for Testability and debug tools and scenarios.
-Participating in both pre-Si and post-Si verification and integration efforts, until product launch.
- You will work within a global organization, with peers and colleagues in multiple sites.
- Some international travel may be expected.
- Written communications are in English, as well as many of the meetings.
What are we looking for?
-B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc.- advantage), Relevant majors: RF, communications, Signal Processing, Control Theory or similar.
-At least 3 years' experience in System Engineering roles in RF, PHY or communications system, or at least 6 years' experience in RFIC Circuit Design roles experience in RF System roles an advantage, experience in mmW systems/circuits an advantage.
-Proficiency in Matlab or other general-purpose simulation tools.
-Deep understanding of Analog and RF Circuits and links - advantage.
