Intel's New Devices Group is responsible for developing exciting new "wearable" devices and technology.
Design and integrate hardware circuits for consumer electronics products including schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, and validation.
Design and development of analog and digital circuitry and subsystems for wearable products based on established engineering principles.
Perform low level circuit design functions including testing, debugging and integration.
Create and execute test plans to ensure system and circuit robustness.- Schematic capture, simulation and PCB layout using Cadence Orcad and Allegro Tools.
Documentation of all circuit and system designs, specifications, and test plans.
Be involved in the full Product life cycle from product definition to product ship.
Work with cross functional teams to ensure products meet specification criteria board form factor/size, power, performance, thermal, etc...
Interface with external component vendors for part selection
Work with the SW/FW, Mechanical, ID, and Business teams to optimize product design tradeoffs.
Develop and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements
On-site product factory support and occasional international travel required
Minimum BSEE - 3+ years' experience in product development or related experience
Familiar with analog circuit design including power system design.
Experience with standard digital interfaces and protocol structures such as I2C, I2S, USB, UART, SPI, MIPI, etc.
Understanding of processes required to design cost effective system solutions for consumer electronic products including design validation test planning.
Experience with schematic capture and layout.
Familiar with wireless systems including Bluetooth, BTLE, WiFi, LTE, etc. is helpful
Experience with high volume manufacturing a plus.
Ability to make rapid decisions based on data, team collaboration and input to meet business objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of end product requirements experience with wearable products is a plus
