IP design engineer

Job Description
Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.


Qualifications

About 5-7 years of experience in architecting/designing/maintaining the digital IP1. Good experience at both module and sub-system/SOC IP level topics2. Good knowledge of Verilog/VHDL 3. Good knowledge of UVM/eRM methodology4. Should have done at least one IP design/micro-architecture from scratch5. Should have done all the required qualification for IP quality checklist, like spyglass/LEC/CDC etc6. Working knowledge of register package model, regressions tools like eManager and perl scripting.7. Should have working knowledge of ARM based processors and AHB Desirable skill set1. Exposure to other object oriented verification methodologies like VMM/OVM/UVM and system Verilog. 2. Exposure to C++, TLM and Co-verification3. would have worked on modem chipset Role 1. Ownership and leadership of IP design activity .2. Good coordination skills to work in a flexible manner with multi-skilled teams and schedule-critical projects Technical interaction with concept, system, program and design teams that are geographically distributed
