SSD Modeling Undergrad Internship

Job Description

In this position, you will be working as part of the Silicon-Systems Architecture team within Intel's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group NSG to design and implement software that models Intel's future Solid State drives and predicts their performance .The responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Assist in the design and implementation of tools that augment Intel's SSD performance modeling capabilities. This includes the development of in-house data visualization and exploration tools. Perform SSD performance data collection and analysis to support model development.-Participate in code reviews. Ramp quickly on architecture, design/technical.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively both independently and in a team across multiple sites.


The candidate must  possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must be pursuing  a Bachelor's  degree in Computer Science,

Computer Engineering, or Computational Science or any related field.

Minimum 3 plus  months of experience :

  • Programming and debugging.
  • Experience with D3 data vis framework- Experience in C/C++.
  • Availability for minimum 6 month period.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in NAND Flash or other memory technology.
