Job Description

Intel is seeking a lab technician who will become part of a team building and maintaining a large array of customized electronics used for validation of new designs at Intel.


Key Tasks include: 

  • Hand assembly of electro mechanical equipment
  • Provisioning and commissioning equipment
  • Setting up computers and imaging them with the correct files
  • Debugging defective assemblies
  • Hand soldering

The ideal candidate needs to have oral and written communication skills. This job requires the ability to work effectively within diverse teams. 

The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The Vancouver design center develops products for Intel's solid-state drive group. This team is comprised of design engineers with expertise in the areas of ASIC, FPGA, firmware, hardware, and mechanical design.



Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a 2 year diploma from a technical institution such as BCIT, or equivalent, in the area of electronics.

6+ months of experience in the following areas:

  • Lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, power supplies, among others.
  • Assembly of electro mechanical equipment.
  • Debugging defective assemblies.
