Software Engineer

Job Description

Come join Intel's Disruptive innovations Group as a Software Engineer! Responsibilities include the following:

  • Participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and hardware engineers
  • Design, develop, and utilize productivity enhancement layout tools, design rule checkers and electronic data processing systems software
  • Determine computer users needs, advise hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, input/output requirements
  • Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
  • Respond to customer/client requests as they occur

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must have a Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

- Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.

- Minimum of 6 months experience with:

  • Programming experience in C/C++/Java/Perl and Win32/WPF programming
  • Broad theoretical knowledge in computer science including algorithms and data structures
  • Familiarity with standard software engineering practices for version control, configuration management, testing, root cause analysis and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of UNITY game engine and Augmented Reality frameworks
  • Knowledge of object recognition, projected and ambient computing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming experience on Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Apple platforms
  • Experience with Web Application Frameworks
  • Programming experience on mobile platforms such as Android and iOS
  • Programming experience on desktop platforms such as Microsoft .NET framework

Experience with Rapid Software Prototyping
