This position will be shift 1 and will not be on compressed shift.

The successful candidate will be expected to master FTIR, ion chromatography, different EPA defined methods for stack testing techniques including but not limited to M13B, M5/202, understanding post processing digestion process, POU testing, monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance.

Must be able to work with others on the team to perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment, getting ready for different tests and preparing chemical solutions. Prepare standards and samples, calibrate instruments, test samples and report accurate, on-time data, in a fast paced environment. Excellent/detailed record keeping is a must. Familiar with clean sample preparation and contamination control. Capable to perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment, as well as troubleshooting, with minimum supervision.

Candidates with the right background and basic chemistry skills will be trained as required in all necessary competencies.

Job Responsibilities:

-Responsible for running different analytical equipment such as ion chromatography, FTIRs, modified PM methods and work with engineering in developing different tests methods.

-Assists engineering in assessment of process health and defect identification. Owns ion chromatography and/or hands-on physical analysis, including sample preparation for IC, different EPA methods etc.

-Assignments are semi-routine in nature but require a wide array of laboratory techniques and skills.

-Work from technical documents, design layout, written BKMs and/or verbal directions to complete tasks in assigned areas.

-Maintain necessary records and reports. Perform other related duties as required or as directed.

- Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and performing required preventative maintenance duties based on work plans and in accordance with documented procedures.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess a AA/AS degree in Technology Field or Military service with a minimum of 1 - 3 years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of how to use all hand tools, power tools, and test equipment used in the area.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods, including Statistical Process Control.
  • The candidate must have the unrestricted permanent right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
