Systems Expert Student - Kiryat Gat

Job Description

Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire materials, components, equipment, and services in a cost effective and timely manner.

Supports commodity deliverables to assure cost, quality, availability and time to market objectives are met.

Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased.

Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.

Performs bench-marking and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.

Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, value engineering, and design for cost initiatives, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.

Responsibilities may also include contract negotiation and maintenance, setting supplier expectations and tracking performance.

At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.


Qualifications

You should be a student currently pursuing a B.A. Degree or an M.B.A. Degree in Finance or purchasing related field such as Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, and/or Business Management.

Additional qualifications include:

- High PC and analytical skills, programing skills- required

- Knowledge of Visual Basic- an advantage

- Excellent teamwork and customer orientation skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hebrew

- Fluency in English would be an added advantage
