Senior System Architecture Engineer

Who are we?

WiGig group is a unique group within Intel’s Wireless Connectivity Solutions Organization. The group is engaged in the development of products based on the novel high speed wireless technology 802.11ay (WiGig). New innovations are created to enable exciting new capabilities: ultra-high speed device to device communication; wireless (untethered) VR/AR, wireless networking, wireless gaming, wireless backhaul and more. The group also deals with 5G cellular communications especially in the mmW (millimeter wave) frequencies. Within WiGig group, the System Engineering group is responsible for the definition and architecture of the product, and is deeply involved in the architecture, design and integration phases. The System Engineering group includes highly skilled and experienced system engineers.

The group is located in Petach Tikva.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a senior system architect with extensive experience in HW and system Architecture, to join our innovative team of experienced architects, for an exciting job developing visionary products using the novel 802.11ay (WiGig) technology. As a system architect in our group, you will be at the forefront of a new era of computing, involving state-of-the-art wireless untethered VR/AR, wireless network, backhauling, and ultra-high-speed device to device communication.

At this position you will be responsible for:

  • Definition of HW Architecture and system functionality.
  • Close work with VLSI team, supporting implementation, verification
  • Definition of requirements for SW and HW subcomponents, as well as HW/SW split.
  • Definition of the module architecture, interfaces and flows
  • Performing technology exploration, research and system analysis activities.
  • Involvement in planning and execution of post-si integration.


Qualifications

  • Over 5 years as system engineer/architect.
  • Experience with system aspects and design considerations of low power mobile platforms.
  • Experienced in system integration.
  • Independent and self-motivated, capable of executing in uncertainty environment.
  • Leadership and ability to drive forward activities in matrix reporting structure.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Multiple disciplines - advantage. Wireless communication systems - advantage.
