Data Center Connectivity Customer Enablement - APJ team in DCG DCPAE is looking for a talented network hardware engineer to work on BASE-T/Magnetics product debug and enabling. This role involves performing customer debug, product development enabling, IEEE conformance test and geo link interoperability debug support, tools development, documentation and lab management. Assignments include working with BASE-T IP providers to support both new product development , product enhancements and issue resolutions. The candidate will interface with IP provider, Intel EV teams, and silicon enabling group to support product development. The work requires solid understanding of 10G BASE-T technology and IEEE 802.3 network standard. Provide solutions to customer issues on BASE-T products which include 1G/2.5G/5G/10G and future Base-T products. Provide regular status updates to Sr. management on the progress of critical customers issues. Work with the EV/SV teams to influence/improve validation plans based on customer learnings. Work with Base-T IP providers to support product definition and customer issue resolutions. Work with silicon enabling teams to accelerate new product introductions and quickly resolve issues. Conformance/Interoperability lab planning and management.
Qualifications:The candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Electrical along with min of 5 years of direct experience.- Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and ability to operate in high stress environment across geo/teams.- Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.3 network standard and 1G/2.5G/5G/10GBase-T technology's signaling environment, debug, protocol.Additional Preferred Qualifications:- Strong knowledge of Ethernet architecture, I/F and network products. Preferably with Intel Ethernet products LOMs or adapters. - Experience of working with phy and Ethernet magnetics vendors.- Familiarity with Ethernet standards, physical layer interfaces and conformance/interoperability requirements. - Experience with test automation with Python or other scripting languages. - Experience with high-speed signaling measurement equipment: spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, VNA and other tools- Understanding of signal integrity, transmission line theory, analog circuit design and high speed signal processing.- Recent experience in design and/or validation of networking products as LOMs, adapters, mezzanines, or embedded form factors. - Experience with lab managementInside this Business Group
