Xeon FPGA Board Support Engineer

Job Description

The Programmable Solutions Group is building a discrete Xeon FPGA solution on a PCI Express card The Xeon FPGA project combines the best-in-class compute power of Xeon processors with dynamically changeable purpose designed circuits found only in FPGAs. This unified product brings the accessibility of software to the raw performance of custom hardware.

The device is enabled by a comprehensive user software stack and device driver written in C in concert with programmable hardware written in Verilog.

We are seeking engineers with experience designing and implementing system-level FPGA projects targeting custom boards. In this role, you will be a member of a highly experienced team tasked with quickly moving existing designs to new board platforms and rapid prototyping of next generation Xeon FPGA features.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 6 years’ experience implementing designs in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • 5 years’ experience managing system-level FPGA design projects including:   
    - Pin Assignments   
    - Timing Constraints   
    - Floor Planning
  • Familiarity with standard FPGA design tools, such as Intel Quartus, Intel SignalTap, ModelSim/VCS, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with scripting Python, Tcl, Bash
  • Familiarity with application development C, C++
  • Experience writing and working with device drivers
