Software Engineer Intern - Simics Virtual Platform

Job Description

The Simics simulator team within the Software and Services Group SSG is looking for a Software Student Worker to join our team working on Intel Architecture virtual platforms simulator. We are looking for students passionate about software with programming skills interested in building a career as a software developer. Being a part of our team, you will be able to learn modern simulation technologies and participate in development and testing of Simics full platform simulator models. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team for enabling and optimizing simulator's code of the latest Intel Architecture platforms. Your responsibility will include supporting of the development of virtual platforms, working hand-in-hand with a group of experienced engineer to extend the Simics simulator capabilities and model correctness. You will join friendly and open team who will help you to ramp up as software development engineer and teach you on using of many of established software development practices. Qualifications

Desired qualification:- Ability to develop programs using one or several scripting language Perl, Python, Linux bash or Windows shell.- Some experience with C and/or C++ and knowledge of object oriented programming principles.- Some knowledge of computer architecture and micro architecture, interested in low-level programming and open to learn deeper computer architecture.- Knowledge of Windows* and/or Linux* platform and programming environments.- Knowledge of source code version control systems SVN, GIT and continuous integration tools.- Good written/ skills in English language would be an added advantage
