RF System Validation Engineer
Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platformlevel tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Presilicon Validation teams in improving postsilicon test content and providing feedback for future ondie debug features.RF System Integration tasks and responsibilities: To work within a highly motivated technical team on integration of RF subsystem RF-Engine into customer/internal modem designs. Bring-up, verification and debugging of RF subsystems in modem applications customer and internal Analysis of test logs from test-systems internal tracing break down RF related issues to specific field of sub-system Receiver / Transmitter / Power Management / System Engineering / FW Responsibility to drive RF related problems to solution involving all kind of disciplines System Engineering / FW / System Integration / Base Band / Customer Support Coordinate debugging effort as cross functional lead across disciplines using assigned experts Strong customer focus Close interaction with Base Band Physical & Layer 1 colleagues Define content of RF FW release based on customer urgency in close alignment with RF FW content manager Improve proper Quality-gate testing for official platform / customer releases based on found issues Release notes satisfying industry state of the art Training of customer support team/tier one customer on RF subsystem features, how to debug and optimize

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience in RF Systems Integration or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of related experience in RF Systems Integration. Required Skills: 5+ years of experience with the following: Expert: 3GPP TS in particular TDD, TD-SCDMA and CDMAExpert: using Instruments like CMW500, Spectrum, Analyzer, Signal generator, Oscilloscope Advanced: RF-Transceiver/ Base Band Physical & Layer 1 control Expert: RF SW programming models of RF systems, RF DRV / RF Transceiver interface Expert: RF System integration and validation test-cases defined by 3GPP, network operator or customers, trace and debug tools Basic: Field experience Experience with customer support Advanced: communication skills, organizing and project coordination experience and comfortable networking among peers and customers as RF System Integration often deal with international and multi-disciplinary teams
