GAR Mobility & Benefits Tax Analyst
Job Description The Greater Asia GAR Mobility and Benefits Tax Analyst is responsible for the coordination of tax matters, including individual and employment taxation matters and people movement strategies and administration of the tax program for Intel's mobile population in GAR as well as to identify region wide tax compliance issues and areas for tax cost savings. Core responsibilities involve provision of advice on the tax implications of people movement to business operations, geography tax and business partners, developing tax planning strategies to minimize Intel's assignment tax costs, providing tax technical support to business partners, and resolving assignment related tax issues such as permanent establishment and treaty interpretations by working closely with Finance, Payroll and Human Resources business partners at Intel sites worldwide and with external tax service providers. Main responsibilities:- Provide tax compliance support on employment taxation matters, a wide range of benefits programs, payroll, relocation, fringe benefits, and some equity compensation. - Understand, interpret and apply tax rules and regulations - identify tax compliance gaps and areas of exposure and proactively close gaps and minimize exposure through systems, ability to work cross-functionally- Provides tax technical support and analysis to business partners as well as resolving issues relating to permanent establishment, treaty interpretations and trailing liabilities.- Assist regional Mobility & Benefits Tax Manager in payroll tax audits - Administer Intel's Tax Equalization policy including but not limited to tax cost projections, compensation & benefits data analysis, tracking of assignees' movements, review of tax returns and tax equalization computations, responding to employee queries and escalations- Manage external tax service providers to ensure that all returns are completed and filed in a timely manner and deal with local tax authorities in certain GAR countriesSkills: - Action Orientation: Pursue work with energy, drive and a bias for action, while maintaining focus and composure. Provides technical expertise and support to the organization with uncompromising integrity and professionalism. - Communication: Articulates written and verbal thoughts in a clear and concise manner. Actively listens for key messages and feedback. Matches the message to the audience. - Systems aptitude and experience with an enterprise system such as SAP is a plus.
-Degree/ Master in Accounting or Law and/ or CPA or equivalent- Strong accounting knowledge is an advantage- Professional experience should include extensive expertise on tax consultation and tax planning aspects of individual taxation and international assignment. Technical skills required include those under minimum requirements and general knowledge of corporate tax areas impacted by international people movement issues. - In-depth knowledge of individual and employment tax regulations and procedures, including social security levies- Strong knowledge in tax legislation and regulations is required- Proficient in English.
