Silicon Optical test Intern

Job Description

Intel's Silicon Photonics Product Division SPPD is seeking an engineering intern to be a part of a team developing optical systems for silicon photonics. Responsibilities may be quite diverse of an exempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optical design and modeling of lenses
  • Carrying out experiments on an optical bench
  • Analyzing, summarizing, and presenting data to the component development teams


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum requirements:

The ideal candidate should be pursuing MS in Optical Engineering or related field.

6 + months experience in:

  • Optical bench testing
  • Optical modeling
  • Advanced technology development
