Join Intel as part of the Intel Communications and Devices Group iCDG MTG Modem Hardware MHW Design Team.We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer responsible for the definition, design, implementation and verification of complex digital modem blocks and sub-systems for wireless applications including 3G, 4G and 5G.Role would include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: Requirements and specifications, micro-architectural definition for optimal area and powerDigital design RTL and verificationSynthesis, static timing analysis, formal verification, gate-level simulations, and power estimation and optimization.Project deliverables may include specification documents, micro-architectural definitions, RTL code Verilog and/or System Verilog, simulation models, test benches, gate-level netlists, timing constraints, UPF files, and associated documentation and additional collateral.

QualificationsBS or MS with 4+ years of experience in high performance ASIC DevelopmentExperience in Verilog and/or System Verilog digital design, simulation and verification.Experience with VCS, Verdi, Spyglass or equivalent toolsASIC synthesis, formal verification, gate level simulation, static timing analysis, UPF simulations, power estimation, timing closure for FPGA and/or ASICsDebug and analysis skills in emulation, FPGA and Si lab bring up.Preferred QualificationsExperience in Cellular WiMax, 2G/3G, LTE, and/or other Physical layer WiFi, Ethernet technologies and embedded SW & HW design is a strong plusExpertise in wireless communications systems and standards, including 4G LTE FDD/TDD and/or 5GAbility to comprehend complex digital communications and signal processing algorithms and provide feedback/alternatives.Experience in baseband modem micro-architecture, design and verification. Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or PerlExperience with VCS, Verdi, and SpyglassExperience with DPI-C, System Verilog, UVMExperience with C/C++, Python, Matlab and/or other simulation and modeling tools/languagesFamiliarity with System C/Architecture profiling.Experience with revision control systems such as Clear Case or GIT
