Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
The proposed position is in the Component Debug CD Readiness team, spread across key Intel sites in Israel and USA. The team is part of the FAST organization within PEG/ITG.
The Apps Engineer's primary objective is to enable and support post-Si debug activities by developing, integrating, validating and supporting the required hardware and software capabilities for debug and fault isolation of Intel's next generation microprocessor and system-on-chip products.
In this role you will be supporting various facets of debug execution which includes: developing understanding of existing software and hardware products, becoming the primary technical frontline to customers in multiple teams, design, build and test new technological products and methodologies, support research and development engineering by translating customer's needs into a deliverable product, and providing engineering support for the day-to-day execution of post-Si debug.
You should have:
BS/MS Engineering EE, CompE, CS.Skills
- Knowledge of general Test & Debug methodologies
- Knowledge of LINUX and Windows OS and one or more high level programming languages C++, Java, Perl, Python
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
- Hands-on individual and Self-Motivated
- Knowledge of DFT Design for Test, Digital Circuit Design and Circuit Analysis would be an advantage
The following be an advantage:
knowledge of post silicon validation including: Debug Testers, Optical Probing and Sample prep techniques, Power and Thermal constraints for testing, High Volume Manufacturing HVM test flows including Sort and Class testing, component debug and root cause analysis.Inside this Business Group
