This role works closely with the Electrical Engineers and Optics & IC Designers to integrate various components into a solution that can meet customers’ stringent requirements. This position also develops the building blocks such as optical engine (O/E conversion), precision optical lens & coupling mechanism, electrical connector interface, optical connector interface, etc. This role will be participating in defining the industry standard/specifications.
Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
Familiarity with the mechanical modeling tool such as ProE & Solidworks.
Able to independently complete the mechanical design based on the requirements from high-speed electrical, thermal, & optical designs.
Familiarity with the precision molding technology (with few um tolerance) is a plus.
Experience with developing the high-speed optical transceiver product (10-25Gb/s or beyond) is a plus.
Familiarity with the high-speed interconnect design requirements (10-25Gb/s or beyond) is a plus.
Experience in going through the product development cycle (product design, product validation, system integration) is strongly desired.
Familiarity with the thermal analysis tools
Familiarity with tolerance analysis, GD&T.
