Define Debug hooks for complex mixed signal design functional and electrical
Partner with architects on debug architecture definition
Develop debug tools and capabilities
Continuous interaction with multiple Intel DFD design and validation teams to drive necessary improvements, extensions and strategic direction to enable best of class design for debug.
Participate and/or lead in the scoping of various design for debug components and the required triggering and configuration mechanisms.
Initial development work and architect of software infrastructure that allows access of design for debug resources, and drive this effort, using internal or external resources.
Validation of debug tools using the DFD debug infrastructure to support the debug team use cases
Define and document the life cycle of complex FPGAs and the various test, bring-up, and production support scenarios that would leverage a robust design for debug infrastructure such that all future users are provided the necessary hooks and features required
Provide professional high quality customer debug support to help diagnose and troubleshoot customer technical problems primary focus on internal Intel teams but support for external teams is also required
Facilitate a positive customer relationship ensuring Intel's brand image for product quality and support.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline plus 9+ years of experience in design for debug design and/or validation
Proven track record of developing tools and/or methods and using debug solutions for complex high-performance CPU or equivalent products.
Good experience in SW development in C/C++
Experience in Logic Design, verification
Experience in validation or enabling silicon DFD capabilities with expertise in areas of pre-silicon and post-silicon verification/validation processes and challenges
Scripting in Perl, Python, TCL, or some other scripting language
Working knowledge of HW and SW development life cycle from concept to product
Solid leadership capability and customer orientation are critical, as well as possessing initiative and a strong commitment to task are a must
Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline 10+ years of experience in design for debug design and/or validation experience developing or troubleshooting Intel server products.
Expertise in CPU/Microprocessor architecture Direct experience in silicon bring-up, debug, and validation of design for debug features
Software Skills: Perl, Assembly Language, JAVA
Familiarity with debugging tools like source code debuggers, GDB etc.
Experience with industry standard ATE test platforms
Working knowledge of DFT techniques for high performance processors and large complex SOCs
