Core Logic Design Lead

Job Description
You will be part of Intel Architecture Cores Group IACG group within PEG, in the Big Core IP development team driving Intel's latest CPU's in the World's leading process technologies. A Core Logic Design Engineer is responsible for the microarchitecture specification and RTL development for next gen BigCore. Looking for motivated, self-directed individuals who have the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills and who can understand how to achieve results in complex multi-site team environment. Responsibilities include: development of CPU core logic from Arch Specification, documentation of design in MAS, participating in reviews, planning and organizing features/modules and present status and schedule in weekly execution update meeting. Expected to write assertions to achieve high quality CPU RTL. Other responsibilities include documentation, support for validation team for the implemented feature, integration, review backend feedback and implement necessary fixes to meet tough timing requirements. Looking for someone who has passion, likes hands on direct contribution and deep technical knowledge of IA CPU core architecture and design.


Qualifications

The candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in engineering with 18 years related work experience. Strong knowledge of CPU architecture concepts such as caching, pipelining, paging, virtual memory and micro-architecture and validation environment is essential. Demonstrated expertise in understanding the design of complex Intel Architecture CPU, developing and debugging of functional tests in pre-silicon simulation environment are required skills. Prefer candidate with expertise in IA System Architecture with directly related experience in RTL development for CPU. Experience developing and debugging various validation collateral such as trackers, monitors, checkers and test benches is recommended.
