CPU Power Management Architect

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing architectural capabilities for power management, performance management, thermal management in Intel microprocessors.


  • Specify and evaluate power management architectural features, including their behavior in hardware, software and hardware/software interface.
  • Model and Analysis of power management features in various usage models, workload and platform conditions.
  • Perform power and performance analysis taking into account energy efficiency targets and power/thermal constraints.
  • Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
  • Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses.
  • Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families.
  • Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or M.S in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering with 4/3 years of experience in Computer Architecture or PhD 1 year of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Power and Performance Analysis
  • Expose to standard programming and scripting languages such as C+, Perl, etc.
  • Experience in power delivery and power management architecture
