The candidate will be part of the Visual and Parallel Computing Group VPG / PVO/GDE Organization Bangalore, working on debugging of Intel Graphics device driver. Should have basic understanding of Computer architectureIA, micro controller/microprocessor, graphics device driver architecture and windows internals.. VPG is responsible for delivering integrated graphics IP for Intel's various products includes both Big and Small Core.Responsible for Debugging Intel Graphics device driver Display / Media / 3D / Audio / WHCK / Performance etc.Will work on Intel PlatformsLegacy, Current and Next Gen & CustomerOEM Systems. Should Isolate the Reported Gfx issue to Component, Determine Faulty Module, Determine Root Cause of Failure, Develop Source Code Change and Run Adhoc ExperimentsAbility to provide bug fixes or Sample Recommendation with corrective action to Dev teamCollaboratively work with the partner teams from SWE , CAE and platform to quickly root cause the failures.Support debug of Graphics driver/WHQL/ media workloads/ Display Compliance failures debugInterface with cross-site functional teams in different time zones to provide bug fix.Set up work groups/task forces to drive any focused debugs.Review bugs, post-mortem of bug escapes and propose methods to catch bugs early.Propose ideas on design for debug and automation of debug methodologies.Track the progress of quality/coverage goals. Provide periodic updates to program management on progress and escalate issues on timeDriver improvements/efficiencies. Write technical papers for internal/external technical conferences in graphics domain
Master or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with 6-10 years' experience in system programming.Should have basic understanding of Computer architecture, micro controller/microprocessor and/or OS Internals / WDDM.Experience working on Display, Media, Audio or 3D will be additional plus.Good analytical ability, problem solving and communication skills.Knowledge of system programming.Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and scripting such as Perl or RubyGood understanding of Display graphics driver / Media / 3D /Audio would be added advantage.Experience in Graphics Hardware-Software interfacing and debug would be plusSolid understanding / Experience working on windows internals or WDDM will be additional plus.Ability to understand and/or interpret graphics and display driver requirements and designs based on hardware, operating system or industry specifications.Experience in customer support and system level debug and solution integrations.A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team across multiple Geos.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Hands on experience using windbg and windows debugging tools.Hands on experience with configuration management repos like Perforce / GIT.Familiarity with any bug tracking toolsShould be ready to travel for on-site support on the debug need basisFamiliar with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban will be added advantage.Inside this Business Group
