SPPD is leading the company's world-class, industry leading-edge photonic communication development. The mission of SPSG is to deliver breakthrough technologies to fuel Intel's growth. This includes new technologies and opportunities reaching first-to-market technologies and innovative new usages for data transfer technologies.ResponsibilitiesJoin SPPD's Quality and Reliability team as a Quality and Reliability Engineer. In this position you will be a member of a small team responsible for driving Optical Module Reliability, the reliability engineering of current and future Silicon Photonics SiPh and passive components, and boards, as well as technology qualification, testing, and failure analysis FA. The successful candidate will deliver following key results:Execute pre-silicon reliability validation to ensure compliance to spec lifetime, ESD etcExecute post-silicon reliability testing and analysis of ICs ESD, HTOL, Latch up, PackagingSupport fault isolation FI and failure analysis of ICs during development phase and customer returnsDevelop IC reliability test platforms and FA methods for new ICsThe ideal candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate: - High motivation and drive- Self-direction - Good communication interpersonal and problem solving skills - Sense of urgency and commitment to achieve targeted goals- Ability to work well individually AND in a team environment across functional and organizational boundaries is required- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills are required.

The successful candidate must possess the minimum qualifications listed below to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job and research experiences, both in academic institutes and in industry. Minimum qualifications - Must have either a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related technical field - At least 3 years' experience with high speed circuit design, pre-silicon validation, IC characterization or reliability testing- 2+ years experience with testing systems and instrumentation control including hardware and software Matlab, LabView Preferred qualifications- 2+ year experience in bench-top optoelectronic device/module or high-speed IC testing - 1+ years experience with photonic device or IC reliability - 1+ years experience with or knowledge of device/module FA and with analytical/characterization techniques SEM/EDX, AFM, X-Ray imaging, IR imaging, surface analysis techniques, etc. would be highly valuable
