Open Source Linux Continuous Integration and SW Engineer

Job Description

The Intelr Open Source 3D Graphics Driver is the industry's only commercial-grade open source 3D graphics driver. Based on the Mesa project mesa3d.org, this driver powers leading Operating Systems such as Chrome OS, Steam OS, Ubuntu, and Fedora on Intel graphics. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the continuous integration system of the Intelr Open Source 3D Graphics Driver, along with bisecting and verifying identified bugs on multiple existing and future platforms. Additionally, the candidate will be developing new tools or enhancing existing tools apitrace, fips/grafips, shaderdb, inte_gpu_top, sixonix that help driver developers identify and fix performance bottlenecks. The development is done in C/C++ in a completely open source environment. Depending on demonstrated abilities, the candidate may have opportunities to contribute to graphics driver development over time.


Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through your educational level research and/or relevant job/internship experiences

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate should have at least a BS in Computer Science/ computer Engineering or in a technical field with the following coursework or relevant work experience

  • 4 years of C/C++ programming or Python scripting or other automation
  • Significant project at the systems or application level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A history of contributing to an open source project of any kind, even as a volunteer
  • Knowledge of OpenGL
  • Knowledge of the graphics pipeline
  • Experience with debugging hardware, especially pre-production hardware
  • Open source tool set such as git, gcc, gdb, valgrind, make, etc
