Data Center Connectivity Lead Architect - RSD

Job Description

Leads a cross-functional definition, development, and deployment strategy and functions as the Connectivity Group decision maker across "Connectivity as a Platform," leading Product Life Cycle Strategic, Execution, and Business. Responsible for total platform investment /return and accountable for design wins and market success. Position will report directly to the CTO of the Connectivity Group. Leads a heavily matrixed, virtual organization responsible for the definition, design, development and deployment. Flawlessly executes to pave the way for corporate growth by establishing a clear end-user value proposition, setting architectural and industry direction, and building healthy ecosystems. Manages strong internal and external networks, comfortably influences at the senior management level, is an exquisite communicator, and delivers consistently exceptional results. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the transformation of Intel Connectivity Group from a focus on exceptional independently targeted ingredients to exceptional ingredients that work together to accelerate next generation datacenter networks.


Qualifications

The successful candidate can perform at a technical director level position and should have

BSEE plus 10+ years of experience including:

  • Silicon level architecture experience of NICs and Switches
  • Software level architecture experience of NIC drivers and Switch SDKs
  • System level understanding of networking infrastructure equipment
  • End-to-End experience of key networking technical topics such as QoS (Quality of Service), Routing, and load balancing
  • Participation or deep technical understanding of equipment management standards and APIs, related to existing practice and evolution to a cloud orchestration model
  • Previous experience with datacenter optics or demonstration of the ability to learn optical component technology quickly and deeply.
