TMGSP Ireland Layout Industrial Engineer

Job Description

The position requires an Engineering degree or equivalent with experience in facility planning principles.

The candidate should possess:

  • Knowledge of layout and capacity planning techniques.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas using written and verbal means at all levels of management and across diverse functional teams manufacturing, finance, construction, tool install while being able to apply active listening skills to deliver consistent results.
  • Ability to summarize significant information to concise executive summaries and recommendations using strong presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills in order to negotiate key deliverables or support between multiple organizations.
  • Constructive confrontational skills and a willingness to challenge others constructively.
  • Ability to work in an ever changing environment and performing within a team/culture which includes: high tolerance of ambiguity, setting expectations, driving accountability, possesses excellent teamwork, demonstrated leadership and team oriented.

This position is for an industrial engineering role based at the Leixlip campus located in County Kildare where operations began 1989. Since then, Intel has invested over $12.5 billion in one of the most technologically advanced manufacturing locations in Europe.

As a part of the Central Layout Team in the TMGSP Organization, the primary role involves developing factory layouts from conceptual stage through final tool installation on the Ireland site. In this position, you will be responsible for planning plant, production facilities and equipment layouts, determining the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and establishing methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

The candidate will provide a link between the Strategic Planning Organization, Construction, Tool Install Design and Install, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and other support organizations such as Safety, Micro-contamination etc. during all stages of layout development and will be responsible for driving approval of layouts through all stakeholders. As part of the layout development, the candidate will be responsible for optimizing the installation sequence and required timing, including supporting the analysis and recommendations for future use scenarios for the Strategic Planning Layout.

The candidate will be expected to assist in the planning for equipment installation through design reviews and tool installation field activities and interacting with Design, Construction, and Capacity groups during site build out to ensure alignment with plans and resolving any layout related field issues.

In addition to layout development work, the candidate will also be expected to develop, follow and improve business standards within the organization and drive standardization across multiple sites in various geographies and participate in meetings with partners located in Israel, Oregon, Arizona and California which will, at times, will require meetings outside of the standard work hours or travel abroad to support those activities.
