We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the PSG's newly formed Programmable Platform Engineering PPE HW team in the next wave of growth in PSG's Engineering Group in Penang. This team member will be working in a cross functional engineering group i.e. board, system, thermal, mechanical, SW, validation, SI/PI, etc. responsible for delivering robust designs that are used for power-on, validation, and platform development of PSG's upcoming flagship FPGA & SoC silicon. Additionally, this team will also be responsible designing and delivering real-world application designs intended for Intel's strategic growth markets i.e. Cloud & Datacenter, Autonomous Driving, 5G, Telecom, etc. As the FPGA Platform Validation Engineer, you will be leveraging both HW and SW engineering skills, delivering integrated RTL, FW, and BIOS releases that enable development and functional validation of our next generation FPGA and SoC platforms. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Work in partnership with the Platform Architects, Board Design, Mechanical, Thermal, & Validation Engineers, and pre/post Si validation engineers to make sure all platform features are exercised and proven robust, meeting stakeholder requirements.- Create, modify, and integrate RTL test bench code, FW, and BIOS that exercise the FPGA and integrated CPU, verifying functionality and requirements Debug, characterize, root cause platform issues -- drive corrective actions
You should possess a Bachelor of Science or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or similar degree with at least 10 years of industry experience. Additional qualifications include:- A strong technical background in RTL/FPGA, FW, and BIOS development and integration. - Proficiency in C, C++, scripting languages i.e. Python or Perl, low level SW debug skills, and software engineering development process - Ability to work with key resources and stakeholders i.e. SV/EV validation, board design, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, etc. making sure designs meet intended goals and requirements- Ability to participate the power-on, test, and debug of platform/board designs in the lab- Demonstrate a disciplined approach to problem solving and ability to make decisions in a technical environment - Capacity to work independently and in a solid team environment- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills both verbal and writtenInside this Business Group
