EMEA Communications specialist UK intern 2018

Job Description

Responsibilities may be quite diverse and are exempt nontechnical in nature. Our Marketing Communications positions involve working within an international environment, reaching across Europe, Middle East and Africa EMEA. Working with teams across at least 8 languages in up to 12 countries, the EMEA Communications team drives Intel positioning, thought leadership, messaging and narrative through story-telling and story-selling, Influencer networks as well as events and launches for media/news/public relations throughout the region. We are looking for an articulate, creative, motivated individual with a passion for communications and great attention to detail. In return we offer an exciting role which holds real responsibility and possible travel opportunities. -Developing, coordinating, implementing and supporting a calendar of key editorial stories/announcements/events on Inside Blue/Jira for proactive planning and internal reporting:oDevelopment and customization of the calendaroGathering of content from across the countriesoReporting key events/input at weekly Comms meetingoPreview and Friday bullet compilation-Supporting and assisting team at events, such as IFA, Launch events, Mobile World Congress, CES, Intel Future ShowcaseoManaging logistics around events coordinating hardware requirements, briefing local country teamsoCreating Press materials for PR and social media use e.g. visuals, PR background documents, press releases, blogs...-Leading digital communications for Newsroom/ external communications through Intel's Newsroom platform e.g. creating Press Kits, publishing press releasesoLink to DMM team for digital and social-Supporting the Intel EMEA Communications Group:Coordinating the generation of information between country SMG teams and the EMEA Communications Group Collaborating with management on producing reports to senior management including Intel VP and GM levelProduction of bi-weekly EMEA in the News communicationTracking PR success/accountability using new global toolsHandling day to day logistics e.g. running device sampling programs across the EMEA region Proof-reading press releases, backgrounders and other documents released to the publicoSupporting the global processes and adapting/introducing to the extended teamoSeek scaling opportunities across all of the Regional Communications team


Key areas of strength must include the ability to multitask time-management tolerance of ambiguity enthusiasm, ability to communicate clearly and at all levels. Ideally, English native speaker with excellent spelling and grammar abilities.This is a 13 month industrial placement for those entering their third year of university studies for an appropriate degree
