The Nonvolatile Memory Solutions Group Quality & Reliability NSG Q&R has an opening for NSG Customer Quality and Reliability Engineers. The focus of this job is the ownership of customer requested failure analysis and closure for SSDs sent to NSG Shanghai. Drive key success indicator improvements to achieve 48 hr/14 day customer response goals for failure analysis requests sent to NSG China. Own the proliferation of shared learning across sites Folsom and Shanghai. Support onsite customer failure analysis requests and meetings on an as needed basis. To be successful, the candidate must have or obtain experience with NAND memory, SSD non-NAND hardware, SSD firmware, SSD manufacturing process and methods, and customer manufacturing methods for client and enterprise systems. Can provide clear written report to customers to support findings. Role will expand into additional customer engagements or product quality engineering focus as more comprehensive knowledge/skills obtained in debugging of customer returned SSDs. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your current or previous positions.
Minimum Requirements: The candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline. 2 years of previous experience in memory (NAND, NOR, DRAM, or similiar) product engineering, quality and reliability, failure analysis, or technical marketing. 6 months of experience in failure analysis of an IC component or system. Effective communication verbally and written in both Mandarin and English. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of in failure analysis role. Working experience in a customer facing role. Minimum 6 months of experience in programming/Scripting C, C++, Python. Working experience in a Quality and Reliability organization. Working knowledge of storage products SSD or HDD. Lab equipment such as protocol analyzers, high speed oscilloscopes.Inside this Business Group
