Optical Alignment SW Engineer

Job Description
Owns the overall test strategy for the product including test plans, automated As a software development engineer, you will be part of SPPD Platform Test Architecture and Analytics team, building the SW infrastructure of SPPD Manufacturing, Production & Test.ResponsibilitiesAs part of SPPD Platform Test Architecture and Analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and support software for alignment process automation on in-house and/or industrial instruments for next generation optical transceiver. The software development includes understanding the alignment processes, developing the automation, and associated database solutions that have stringent runtime and memory requirements on high volume manufacturing of optical transceivers. You will work with SPPD worldwide custom manufactures and enable them with your quality software and support. It's critical you can proactively adjust priority, come up with new task/project in a fast changing environment to achieve organization goal.The ideal candidate should exhibit the following attributes:Strong communication skillTeam work skill Engineering knowledge and expertiseGood written/oral communication skills and self-driven.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiencesMinimum qualificationThe candidate must possess a BS/BA in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree on related fields.5+ years of work experience in software design and/or development or other similar type of jobs.5+ years of experience with any of the following scripting/programming languages: C/Python/C++2+ years of experience on optical transceiver assembly and testPreferred qualifications include: Understanding of optical alignment processes1+ years of experience with Optical equipment Digital Communication Analyzer, Optical Spectrum Analyzer, and Optical power meters1+ year of Database development experience such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Hadoop
