Shift Group Leader

Job Description
  • In this position, you will be building and developing a team of technicians including personal and team development. You will be based in Kiryat Gat. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
    - Responsible for total area performance in terms of safety, quality, output and cost through staffing, training, development and retention of the group
    - Responsible for good people management (assisting direct reports with their career and technical development)
    - Leading and facilitating technical problem solving activities spanning on multiple shifts or areas
    - Promoting a systematic problem solving technique and ensuring proper resources are engaged
    - Responsible for the area performance activities, integration, continuity of 24x7 and consistency between shifts
    - Assuming direct ownership of all on shift issues within assigned toolset
    - Responsible for equipment maintenance, tool quality and tool ran rate
    - Directing and coaching resources of group to resolve priorities and technical issues
    - Partnering effectively with other departments to achieve results in a positive and timely manner
    - Coordinating activities with all parties (engineering, manufacturing, yield, vendor, virtual factory) including escalation of problems
    - Delivering tactical and strategic capability to the shift and module team(s)



Qualifications

You should possess a degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics and others.
-At least two years of people management experience in the industry or relevant commandership experience in the army.
Additional qualifications include:
- Solid theoretical knowledge or background in equipment maintenance
- Solid technical (equipment and process) understanding of tools
- Very good communication skills in both Hebrew and English
- Experience in owning and controlling processes
- Experience with engineering analysis tools and applications
- Prior semiconductor or industrial supervisory experience in a high volume manufacturing environment would be an added advantage
