International Standards Program Manager

Job Description

The successful candidate will own all aspects of product regulatory compliance standards program corporate wide. This position is responsible for setting the global strategy for Intel's regulatory standards activities related to Safety, EMC, RF/ Wireless, and Product Ecology as well as new market areas such as functional safety.The candidate will represent Intel in standards development committees that focus on product regulatory compliance assessment. The candidate will track development of the standards, involve relevant cross-functional Intel teams to ensure their positions are represented, and become a primary voice of Intel to standards development committees. As that voice, the candidate must be able to negotiate with participating stakeholders to ensure the best possible standards that drive increased sustainability and safety of products are promulgated. In addition, this candidate will manage engagement with outside regulatory bodies.On an as needed basis the candidate may be called upon to work closely with engineering product development teams to ensure products conform to applicable international product regulatory standards and specifications comprehending implications of new technologies and or design concepts and ensuring the standards strategy will enable the new markets.


Essential qualifications

-BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering/Material Science or related engineering field

-Solid understanding of Electronics and physics

-International Standardization Process for Electronic Industry

-Strong analytical and project management skills

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Comfortable working in highly matrixed organization across functional teams and working independently within the framework of Intel product roadmaps

-Some travel will be required

Preferred qualifications

-MS or PhD in EE, Physics, Chemical Engr/Material Science or related engineering field

-Fundamental EMC / RF concepts

-Global product regulatory knowledge inclusive of EMC / RF engineering related to multiple industries product safety

-Experience in global product ecology RoHS, WEEE, REACH material content regulations

-Functional Safety standards for electronic products

-Medical Safety standards for electronic products
