Intel's Silicon Photonics Product Division SPPD is currently looking for a Senior Photonic Design Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for designing and developing passive photonic components such as optical de-multiplexer, optical coupler/spot size convertor, and waveguide polarization beam splitter/rotator, which will be monolithically integrated with high-speed Ge PIN photo-diode and Avalanche photo-diode APD on Silicon-on-Insulator platform. Responsibilities include device design and simulation, test-chip layout design, process design, device evaluation and characterization, and documentation of specifications. He/she will also play an important role in evaluating and determining receiver chip integration architecture/platform and closely collaborate with process integration engineer for integrated receiver chip development. This position will be multi-task oriented. You must have an excellent track record in passive optical device design, modeling and simulation, and testing. Be willing to work in a team environment and be able to communicate results with multiple levels of the organization.
