Intel Labs is seeking a motivated Research Scientist in the area of Computational Photography and Computer Vision. This full-time role in the Computational Imaging Lab will be responsible to conceive, research, develop and prototype advanced computational photography and computer vision algorithms for novel visual experiences. The successful candidate will be part of one of several ambitious research initiatives underway at Intel Labs ranging from light-field processing algorithms, Virtual Reality, and drone imaging. This candidate must have good understanding of computer vision and image processing as foundations of computational photography and video, along with familiarity with current research in computational photography, video algorithms and deep learning for visual applications. In addition the candidate must have strong software engineering skills and fluency in C/C++.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry jobs and/or research experience.
• PhD or Masters with 5+ years experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields of study.
• Demonstrated fluency in C/C++ and software engineering skills.
• 1+ years' experience in computer vision and computational photography and video.
• Proven track record of developing novel computational photography/video algorithms and applications.
• Experience with OpenCV.
• Familiarity with optimization for CPU/GPU/OpenCL
