In this position, you will be joining the Next Generation Radio Integration Lab within Radio Circuits and Architectures of Intel Labs. The lab research activity focus on enabling integration of next generation radio transceivers in deeply-scaled CMOS technologies. We drive innovation in architectures, radio building-blocks and design methodologies to achieve beyond-state-of-the-art performance and maintain Moore's law scaling for both digital and RF/analog circuitry.
As an experienced R&D RFIC designer your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Research into new and improved transceiver architectures, including system aspects; Address next big challenges in transceiver design to enable next generation of wireless systems as 5G; Explore concepts for digital radio design to enable radio scaling and integration in deeply scaled technologies- Design, implement and validate RF/mixed-signal building blocks and transceivers
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job and/or research experiences.
•Must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF circuit design with at least 5 years of experience and proven track record demonstrating strong research focus and problem solving skills. One or more successful RF/analog/mixed-signal circuit tape-out completed in an advanced process technology; Very familiar with overall silicon prototyping flow of design, validation, layout, tape-out, testing
•Knowledge and experience in high-level system design and validation with behavioral models e.g. Matlab, Verilog, Verilog, System Verilog, etc...
•Knowledge and experience of architecture, design, implementation, and verification of RF/mixed-signal systems that include circuit blocks such as LNAs, Mixers, PAs, PLLs, VCOs, ADCs, DACs
•Good DSP/signal processing skills
•Hands-on experience with RF/analog/mixed-signal testing in the lab
•Familiarity with wireless communication theory and how system level requirements translate into block-level specifications
•Understanding of CMOS process and device physics
•Understanding of semiconductor packaging and post-Silicon chip testing
•Good understanding of electro-magnetic modeling and simulation tools, like Ansoft HFSS, Momentum.
