SSD Technical Intern

Job Description

The SSD Technical Internship role offers hands-on and direct experience in cutting edge storage technology solutions.  Specifically, the internship is an opportunity to learn about fast-growing solid-state drive marketing and how it is changing the data center and enterprise based computing environments.

 

The intern will work primarily with the technical applications engineering teams to support customer technical activities, marketing projects, product sampling, and system testing.   The role will involve testing computing systems, developing test methods, SSD firmware management and drive performance benchmarking.   

Additionally, the intern will work with the business development team to support creation of marketing programs designed to drive SSD product demand.

This is a dynamic internship role that will allow the candidate to grow their skills in multiple areas.   The duration of the internship is targeted for a five to six month internship. Candidates who cannot support a six month period will not be considered.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Self-starter with a positive can do attitude, team-player with solid interpersonal and written communications skills, not afraid to jump-in and help wherever needed.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must   be pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other science/engineering related field.
  • The candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Minimum 3 months+ of experience in/with:

  • C++
  • Linux bash
  • Command line scripts
  • Linux operating system
