As an Memory Interface Applications Engineer, in Intel’s Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) you will:
Provide technical support to worldwide customers, through advice on design techniques and potential applications of products. Specifically, provide technical support to customers on PSG’s components and tools related to memory interface intellectual property and technologies such as DDR4, HBM, DDR3,DDR2,QDR IV, QDRII and RLDRAM3
Provide expert assistance in Memory Interface solutions for PSG’s devices and IP solutions, and resolve component and tools issues
Create customer-facing collateral, reference designs and resolve issues
Plan and implement technical design projects for customers, ranging from “proof of concept” design examples to complex, specific “build-to-order” IP targeted to specific customer design requirements
Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products
Ensure that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications
Participate in product characterization and rollout, block/IP reviews, functional task forces, and technical collateral development focusing on ease-of-use
Perform lab testing for purposes of new product Q/A, customer debug, and proof of concept
Provide feedback to improve current and/or define next-generation memory interface solutions. Work effectively across boundaries (field support, internal engineering, marketing, operations) at multiple levels
Assist the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions
May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate the feasibility of the application
May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation

Qualifications • BSEE/BSCE or related
• 4 years of experience in a semiconductor, or high tech, industry
• Experience in designing/debugging/characterizing Memory Interface systems based on DDR4, HBM, DDR3, QDR IV or RLDRAM3, OR corporate experience working with FPGA’s
ADDITIONAL (PREFERRED) Qualifications
• Experience in Verilog HDL/VHDL, Visual C++/Visual Basic, TCL, functional simulation/hardware correlation,
• Experience of designing, bringing up and debugging PCBs based on ASIC/FPGA.
• Knowledge of signal integrity (reflections, crosstalk, Power Distribution Networks)
• Experience with high speed oscilloscopes, Protocol Analyzer, etc.
