5G Sr. Systems Engineer – Software

Job Description

Join the 5G mobile revolution at Intel as part of the Next Generation and Standards group in iCDG. We are looking for an experienced technical leader to drive system architecture and design of the 5G software including L2/L3 including both access stratum and non-access stratum protocol stack, as well as platform level software for advanced 5G modem prototypes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Define concept, architecture, and specifications on new protocol stack and platform software features Analyze operators and infrastructure vendor requirements and align those with internal designs and specifications.
  • Provide System level technical guidance to SW development teams and assist the teams in the implementation of the designs.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic environment with multiple development and test teams during feature development and integration. Resolving System Level Issues and questions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in EE, CE or CS

  • 7+ years of experience in Wireless Modem Software Stack Architecture, Specification, Development and Verification.
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Design and Development Methodology.
  • 7+ years of experience in Embedded Architecture, External Interfaces, Product Requirements.
  • 7+ years of experience in Developing Architectures/features that meet Technical constraints.
  • 7+ years in Wireless Modem Software Stack Architecture and System Design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of 3GPP standards, 2G/3G/LTE Protocol Stack, Log Analysis, Interoperability.
  • Carrier Certification Developing/Testing Features specified by Key Cellular Operators.
  • Wireless Platform Software System engineering experience.
  • Technical Leadership experience.
  • Detailed Technical Specification Authorship.
  • Cellular Modem Architecture and Design familiarity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with configuration management tools
  • Experience with Software Development, C/C++ and different Real Time Operating Systems.
  • Experience working within a diverse, dynamic, multi-geographical team environment.
