Strategic Program Manager - APAC

Job Description

Manages programs of large may be global scope, impact and complexity through all phases of the lifecycle. Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. Has decision making authority at the program level. Handles cross organizational programs of broad scope and high complexity or of broad scope and moderate complexity usually managing a core team that manages function specific teams. Sets direction for programs directly related to corporate policies or important business operations to meet strategic goals of significance. Leads the core team and guides performance of functional teams. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally. Sets and refines project objectives. Assigns overall tasks to others managing general areas of responsibility in support of program goals. Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches. Recommends or sets business strategies or corporate policies and deviates as appropriate. Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs assigns resources, and communicates expectations to core team members. Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met. Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate. Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business unit or crossorganizational strategies relevant to program goals.


Intel's APJ business portfolio is a rich, complex and diverse set of business groups spanning sales and marketing, security, software & hardware product development and customer engineering over a wide range of products from PC, server, mobile, Internet of Things for multinational customers and local players. Geographically, APJ extends from North Asia through South East Asia and Australia, New Zealand across 18+ countries and markets.The Strategic Program Manager will provide leadership and focus towards key organizational objectives and areas of focus with the intent of providing regional consistency and alignment. This person will take and drive specific areas of focus for the APJ businesses and deliver results against those. To this extent, this person will synthesize and reconcile the broader priorities and the specific local priorities to meet the objectives of the program.This person will be a critical player on the APJ BHR team and will work through peers by driving clear actionable strategies and be the key person that holds the program together. This person must execute with urgency, including setting aggressive goals and owning the results, demonstrating sound judgment and acting with speed, and taking risks.The challenge in this role is that areas of focus will vary depending on the business priorities and may vary from quarter to quarter and year to year. Thus, the ability to work in complex/ambiguous environment is a must as is the ability to derive concrete objectives in this context.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KEY COMPETENCIESYou should possess a Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or other graduate degree with equivalent years of experience. You need to be a proven HR talent with demonstrated talent and organizational development capabilities and track record of results. In addition, we are looking for:--~8 years' HR experience with multinational companies and a minimum 3 years in a regional roles.-Experience with HR programs and initiatives ability to quickly understand, connect the dots and translate business priorities into HR implications and action focus.-The ability to assess, connect the dots and adjust to the impact of external and internal, local and corporate business priorities.-Knowledge of Human Resource related principles and business processes.-Strong analytical, problem solving, initiative, influencing, teamwork skills-Demonstrated ability to work and deliver results in a dynamic highly-matrixed and team-oriented environment able to build network, develop alliances and work through people. -Strong execution capability: Able to prioritize, devise action plans, negotiate for resources and support, drive collaboration and manage stakeholders.
