-Candidate must possess a MS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Experience with object oriented software engineering
-Experience with chipset architecture
-Ability to define, conduct, debug, and analyze experiments
-Extensive knowledge of PCH architecture
-Fluent with a version control system like Git, SVN, Mercurial
-Well versed in Python-Has used ITP DAL
-Experience debugging and isolating system failures
-Experience stress targeting hardware-Familiar with various IO devices
-Familiar with how chipsets interact with processors
-Ability to understand device physics and circuits
Inside this Business Group
Develops, applies, and maintains quality and reliability standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished product. Evaluate the materials, process and techniques used in production to meet the requirement of products and production equipment. Specifies inspection and testing mechanism, conduct quality assessment up to and including audits and perform statistical analysis to determine the responsibility for products and systems that do not meet required specifications. Delivers standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems and methods. Provide feedback to BU, TD and/or partner engineering group on design or method and statistical process control procedures including manufacturing systems in HVM. Determines reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives. Develops new acceleration techniques, analytical tools and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product quality/reliability. Responds to customer requests or events as they occur. Makes recommendations for changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process/product reliability. The Microelectronic Quality Reliability Engineering QRE group is responsible for creating and executing procedures to ensure products meet defined quality and reliability metrics. Engineers will be managing projects, working with multiple teams, designing experiments, and analyzing results. This means you will be responsible for understanding the characteristics of hardware both at the IC and high level, learning new technology, defining requirements for said components, and executing methods to meet those requirements. The focus of this position will be performing these tasks on chipsets PCH. This means understanding the layout, what devices will be utilizing the features, and how to properly test those features with requirements you will help generate.
