Verification and Test Automation Engineer

Job Description
In this position, you will be a member of geographically distributed team of engineers responsible for System Stability testing of Intel's leading Wireless Modem products. You will be involved in development of the testing methodology and test suites, implementation of automation solutions and new test capabilities using your programming and scripting skills. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining the test scripts, development and enhancement of automation framework and testing tools. You will also contribute to the projects by collaborating with Back Office engineers on troubleshooting of complex issues, driving tiger teams to address them, and managing small projects for internal efficiency improvements. In this position, you will work closely with Tools and Infrastructure team to adopt and enhance existing tools and to define new tools where needed. Last but not least, you will have a hands on experience in running Stability testing for our Cellular Modem Portfolio. The job offers challenge of contributing in a fast paced execution in a technically complexity R&D environment, and we are looking for a candidate willing to meet these challenges and be part of a highly professional team.


Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job experiences. Minimum Qualifications:- You should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering. - Must have at least 3 years of experience in the following: o Working knowledge of cellular modem standards and cellular operator specifications o Knowledge in protocol stack and wireless communications o Understanding of RF communication principles o Advanced knowledge of the Linux and Windows operating systems o Experience in system tools and scripts development using: -- Python scripting -- Java/ Java Script -- Windows scripting / PowerShell o Experience in SW testing and QA/Validation o Understanding of SW development flow and application lifecycle o Knowledge / experience with code management e.g. Git and SW lifecycle management tools- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment and under pressure- Ability to communicate to various stakeholders- Good spoken and written EnglishAdditional qualifications will be considered as advantage: o Linux and Windows system administration knowledge o Deep understanding of IP networking o Knowledge in PC hardware components and electronics o Practical knowledge of Agile / Scrum development methodology o Experience in Web Application programming, especially using Angular JS, PHP, C o Knowledge in Databases o C++ programming
