The Network Platform Group (NPG) within Data Center Group is an Intel business unit focusing on packet processing SW/HW technologies for Telco/Cloud/Enterprise markets, and we are looking for a Sr. technical leader who is highly talented and self-motivated and can work well with people both internally and externally. This role requires someone coming from a strong technical background having spent considerable time focused on defining, delivering and marketing packet processing commercial and/or open source products. You will be joining NPG PRC software engineering team to design and develop leading edge packet processing technologies on Intel platforms (e.g. CPU, NIC, QAT, FPGA, DPDK, vSwitch) for NFV and 5G, and you should be capable of grasping the development trend and providing overall strategic technical suggestions to engineers.
Qualifications • Master or PhD in CS or Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience. • Architecture knowledge in one or more of the following areas: pipelined or vector processors, accelerators, cache memory hierarchies, on-die interconnects, high-performance memory systems • Hands on experience developing networking software such as DPDK and Linux networking stack, experience working with virtualization (especially KVM/QEMU) • Rich practice experience in multiple domains (including cloud computing, SDN/NFV, and carrier/enterprise services) is preferred • Responsible for the NFV/SDN/Cloud operations solution portfolio and roadmap development • Able to lead a engineering team to work on cutting-edge technology for network transformation, and also able to influence internal non-techncial stakeholders to make appropriate business decisions • Excellent analytic and communication skills. Ability to prepare data for presentation in PowerPoint or similar, or written reports, and presenting the data to a group • Tier-1 customer engagement and joint innovations by leading the customer requirements management, use cases, design and architecture innovations. Supporting customer-facing team to address and detail customer requirements and direct engineering team to work toward new technical areas Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Technical female is highly preferred • Familiarity with x86 and SSE or AVX vector instruction extensions • Knowledge of SDN/NFV and Cloud Computing, including virtualization, Openstack, Cloud Service and Management • Understanding of DPDK, NFV, SDN & Open vSwitch would be beneficial • System integration experience or large-scale network operation experience
